Pain's Lament: Prologue

Prologue
       Aice sat beneath the oak tree and watched as Marion jumped off the cliff, ascend and soar through the air. A smile touched her lips; it had been so long since she felt anything close to what she was felling right now. After all they had been through these past months, even before coming here; happiness was a rare jewel in a desert.

Villains III Hannah flew through the air towards the house by the graveyard, listening to the people in the city scream and yell for ‘Heroes’ to protect them from what had attacked them. They didn’t seem to notice that they were one ‘Hero’ short. She looked down at the people in the streets running away from the Capitol Building, she couldn’t help but laugh at the pathetic people running likes rats in a maze. Not all of the people were though. Up on a roof of the same building she had been before taking the Invisible Woman, was a girl she recognized Villains III

Heroes II Nora walked into the Room hoping to see Jason or maybe the Invisible Man, though the only person inside was Geoffrey Blaine reading a large book. Codename: Semi – Super strength (that’s pretty self-explanatory). Geoff was always a good friend to her and all the others heroes, though to his enemies he was probably one of the worst guys to go up against.
“Hey Geoff, did you hear about the guy who was cooked about a block from the homeless shelter?” She asked as soon as she was in the room. Geoff turned to Heroes II

Heroes I Five Years Later: Nora Hanni walked down the streets, enjoying the sunny day in the city. She looked up in time to see Jason Harris fly by, most likely headed towards the Council Room. Where all the heroes in the city can go and just relax. She smiled to herself, knowing that after she finished her errands she was going over to the Room.
